Barely Legal Kombat
A downloadable game for Windows
Full description
Barely Legal Kombat is a super basic 3D fighting game inspired by certain well-known arena fighters — but done on purpose in the worst way possible.
This is a single-player, one-character sandbox where you can move around, throw punches and kicks, and enjoy the chaos of fast, janky combat.
It was made as a learning project to upgrade my Unity skills… and because I was bored.
Matches are quick. Animations are rough. Hitboxes are questionable.
And honestly? That’s the beauty of it.
It’s not polished. It’s not balanced.
It’s so bad it’s good.
Features
-
Single-player only – no AI, no online, just you and the system.
-
Simple but chaotic combat – punch, kick, high kick, low kick.
-
Fast, messy matches – blink and you’re already resetting.
-
Janky on purpose – weird timing and awkward animations included for free.
-
Built as a skill-upgrade project – expect updates, changes, and breakages.
Controls
Movement
-
W / A / S / D – Move
Attacks
-
J – Punch
-
K – Kick
-
I – High Kick
-

That’s it. No combos. No specials. No mercy.
Why this exists
This game started as:
-
“I’m bored”
-
“I should probably get better at Unity”
-
“What if I made a fighting game?”
And it spiraled from there.
Barely Legal Kombat exists to:
-
Practice animation handling
-
Practice hit detection
-
Practice game feel (even if the feel is bad on purpose)
Development video
I’m also making a video showing how this game was built from scratch
(the good ideas, the bad ideas, and the “why did I do this?” moments).
👉 Dev video coming soon
